In addition to our year-round educational programs and Garden HelpLine, Master Gardener volunteers organize two large events each year:
Educational Garden Tour - 2013
The Master Gardeners of San Mateo and San Francisco Counties will be holding their 2013 Garden Tour on Saturday, June 22 from 10am-4pm. The tour will include five beautiful, water-wise gardens in Redwood City, Menlo Park and Atherton plus the Master Gardener Educational Garden at Redwood High School. Come see some wonderful designs and interesting plants while you talk to Master Gardeners about how you can use these healthy gardening practices in your own garden.
The tour begins at Redwood High School at 1968 Old County Road in Redwood City. Tour guests can view the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden at the school. Master Gardeners will be available at the high school until 1pm to talk about growing vegetables and herbs, building healthy soil with compost and vermiculture, and the joys of keeping chickens. Maps to the five home gardens will be given out at the high school. For more information on the gardens, click here.

This year the Tomato and Pepper Plant Sale was held on Saturday April 13th at Redwood High School in Redwood City from 9am - 1pm. Rain or shine, free admission, free parking, cash or check only, bring a box or a bag. This event is co-sponsored by Lyngso Garden Materials & Ah Sam Florist.
